A year progress (or two, I’ve lost track)
I know I’m two months late since the new year but thank you all so much for reading my comics!
I have a few plans for the future and one of them is I’m going to rewrite “little baby blue” I never fully planned it out before I had jumped into it, the story had a lot of plot holes and it was hard to follow with how frequently it’d jump between parts. It’s not dead! After I finish the “parasite” storyline little baby blue will be set in motion again
The next part in the parasite story is planned to be animated with voice actors and sound effects, it’s a big project I am very excited for! Hopefully, if all goes well, there will be 2 fully voiced and animated parts for the whole series
Last project is still a secret, I’ve been working on it for about 2 years now(I took a short break because of turtles XD), it’s not a tmnt story but it’s an eddsworld story, I won’t bore you guys with those details though
The two newest drawings of Donnie and Leo are from a rough draft story I’ve been considering working on again, the twins are stuck in a loop that was caused after a battle with some bad guys goes bad, after Donnie was able to secure one of the bad guys he doesn’t realize that their battle had caused the building to start collapsing, Leo was able to portal himself and kick Dee out into safety but wasn’t able to get himself or the pinned criminal out in time and ultimately loses his life when the building caved in on him. The villains buddy uses an artifact (that they were stealing) in an attempt to save his buddies life but ultimately trapped themselves and the twins into a time loop, they eventually have to work with the criminals to fix this problem they’ve gotten into. This story has no happy ending and is VERY dark. There is only one way to stop the time loop and Donnie isn’t sure he can go through with it. Cheesy I know but I’m a sucker for a good time loop story, plus it was planned to be a very short comic
Just in case I do decide to pick that one back up I won’t put a lot of details or spoilers
Additional doodles under cut

Some screenshot redraws of Leo , I wanted to try out a few different color palettes and I really like how they look

My first time drawing big mama, I think I did good for only having one reference photo of her, though I learned that I can’t draw crop tops for the life of me 😆

Forever spring
A/N: I hate to use the word yandere but this is yandere Demetri and slightly yandere reader. Do not read if you hate yandere fics 😭 You can kinda see this as a part two to that creepy season fic I wrote for him over a year ago.
Words: 1.5kish / Warnings: fluff, yandere backstories, anxious babies
The thousands of different shades of colors made you happy. They reminded you of something- something that was ages ago- but you couldn’t remember what it exactly was. It did not matter: the wildflowers were freshly plucked and placed in several vases spread over the room. Even though there was no touch of the sun and they would die in only a few days, they made you happy. It meant he was back and it meant it was spring.
A wonderful time of the year, you know. The sun was stronger, wildflowers grew and most importantly: Demetri, your mate, would take you out for a walk. You were vibrating with excitement as you walked towards the closet.
“Corin, what should I wear?” You held up a white flowery dress and a light purple one. “I wore the purple one last year.”
Corin smiled, barely looking up from her book, “you should go for the white dress again. He would like that.”
You giggled, quickly taking off your current dress to change into the white one. It was a gift from Demetri when you were just turned. He asked you to wear it every spring to honour the fact he found you during that time of the year. A reminder of how happy he was to have finally found you.
You sighed unnecessarily as you closed the last button of your dress. Looking up at one of the vases filled with the wildflowers you wondered how you always miss the opportunity to see him sneak them inside. It was always when you were just taking a shower or a bath or when you played chess with Corin. One time you had ran out of the shower when you knew he was inside and yet you had missed him again.
Demetri was holding you almost every day. He would never stray far from your arms. The moment he was off duty he ran back to his room and then sent Corin away for privacy. Those hours were your favorite. You did like Corin and you did like that she would entertain you when you were feeling bored but you knew she was only there because the masters wanted to. You had to stay happy, Demetri explained once. That way you would never want to leave the room.
At the beginning it had made you angry, furious and even anxious because what did he mean that Corin just ensured you did not want to leave your room. You had even tried to leave your room every day for a few years. Strong guards were put on duty at your door and down the window. They would drag you back inside and make you wait for your mate. Demetri was always very patient with you but sometimes he lost his cool: growing angrier and angrier when you tried again and again. He had hit you at the beginning, made you weak by not letting you feed. He had humiliated you by forcing you to drink from a glass he held. But it was all for an important cause you finally learnt years later: it was to keep you safe. If you were not safe, or even died, then your mate would be left behind like one of the masters was. You had met the master in question, Marcus was his name, and this meeting made you sob with fear. What if you lost Demetri? What if he lost you? You were both awfully terrified of losing each other. And so- you finally accepted that his room was your forever home.
Demetri had made his room very comfortable for you. He cleaned it up and placed a second bookcase for your favorite literature. He got a bigger bed and bought modern games for your entertainment. And most importantly: he stole your old belongings from your past life as a human. Not that you could remember your human life anymore- worse: you could not remember what the outside of the Volturi palace looked like. All you knew was this room, a few halls and the garden. The garden was your next favorite place in your world. Demetri took you there every spring- just like now. The wildflowers in the vases was a sign that he was going to do so soon.
“I will leave now. The queens need me too,” Corin stood up, examining the way you stared at the wildflowers. “He will be here soon.”
“I understand.”
“There is no need to be worried. He is safe,” Corin smiled.
“I will always be worried. He has been on a mission for a whole week. You wouldn’t understand, you do not have a mate.” You turned to look at Corin, giving her an apologetic look.
“I am glad I do not have a mate,” she sighed. “It looks exhausting.”
With that, Corin left your room. You immediately could feel her gift leaving you restless. The vibrating happy feelings her presence always gave you were addicting- you sometimes wished she could always stay near. But oh, there was Demetri of course and his presence was just as exciting.
You shuffled towards the window, looking at the gardens. The cypresses were greener than usual and the apple tree was blooming beautifully.
“You are wearing the white dress again.”
You quickly turned to look at him. Oh, he had once again sneaked in without you noticing. There he was. He wore a black suit with a white tie. His hair was spiked once again. You smiled at how happy he was. His devilishly beautiful smile. He opened his arms and you ran to jump inside his arms.
Snaking your arms around his neck and tugging him closer so you could smell his scent- you sighed happily as he tugged you closer as well.
“I am safe, my love,” his voice a soothing whisper.
“Me too. We are both safe,” you kissed his cheek, peppering more along the line of his jaw. You heard him sigh.
When you let go of him slightly he immediately cupped your cheeks, staring into your eyes. His dark crimson red eyes turned black the moment you smiled at him. He was utterly in love with you, devoted for eternity. And so were you with him- you would forever smile at him so his eyes would crinkle and his significant smile would be apparent.
“Demetri,” you giggled. “You brought so many beautiful flowers this time.”
He leant his forehead against yours, caressing your cheeks with his thumbs, “yeah? Do you love them? We travelled the entire earth to pluck them.”
You closed your eyes at the touch, melting at his words. “Where do they come from? And were you safe? It is so dangerous outside the walls of Volterra, you said.”
Demetri made you turn your head slightly so you could see the vases: “That one comes from the fields of your country, and that one is Canadian. The blue and purple ones are from Japan and the bright red ones are from Costa Rica. The guards helped me. I will always be safe dear, I swear it on my eternal promise to stay by your side.”
You gasped, trying to think of the countries he named. You remembered something about those names. A world you used to wander in but it was not safe out there anymore. You were a vampire and the mate to one of the most important guards of the Volturi kings. For you there was nothing more dangerous than to enter the grounds just outside these walls. You wished you could make him stay inside too forever. Just the two of you, forever safe between these walls.
“I brought something else that you might like,” Demetri kissed your cheek.
You gulped when he turned toward the table and revealed a huge bottle with blood in it. You always looked forward to the days he would bring a bottle.
“Heidi said you had not taken her bottle last week,” he sounded worried.
“I cannot feed without knowing whether you are safe.”
He opened the bottle and sighed as he saw your eyes darken at the smell. “I am safe dear. Please drink.”
You took the bottle from him with eagerness, quickly drinking it while watching him wait patiently. The scent and taste was delicious. It was fresh, warm even. You emptied the bottle within seconds. Putting the bottle down on the table you moved towards Demetri to kiss him: “I know you are safe. Can we go outside for the walk now? I have been looking forward to our walk for weeks.”
Demetri smirked, kissing you back. “Let me just get the guards to join us.”

so many thoughts running through my mind; just gonna spitball real quick
yeah, softlocks are no good. alternatively, you can only continue by going back to a previous time or save or checkpoint and trying again; this is back-tracking, and players might hate that even more than softlocks. also, don't wanna make it so the Orpheus player feels like they're having to protect or walk on eggshells around the Eurydice player; that's an escort mission, and is even more lowly regarded than softlocks & backtracking; i mean, team fortress 2 had an escort mission mode early in development, and it wasn't fun for this very reason: it's boring for both escortee & escorter.
that said, there are games which have made all of those types of problems interesting. stanley parable & portal comes to mind. those two examples at least use their story & dialogue to make the softlock less frustrating & more like an easter egg. bioshock infinite is one big escort mission, but your escortee can't be killed & in fact helps you a lot. team fortress itself uses the different classes & characters to make players naturally feel like they're working as a team, even though none of them particularly need to do so. legend of zelda uses weapons & tools as a prize in dungeons in order to make back-tracking feel different in technique than normal backtracking.
i'm also reminded of that one textpost i saw from forever ago which used the medium of item descriptions in RPG to imply a story, like it starts with "this blade means something to you, but you don't know what" to "your late wife's blade" as it levels up or you progress.
then there's like left 4 dead, where there's a respawn condition - if a player dies and is not saved, they can come back once a certain amount of progress is reached without them.
i'm imagining a version of this game where - as the eurydice character could conceivably die at any moment - the world is noticeably different in her absence, and noticeably different each time. like, the color red disappears when she's absent, or some puzzles require a different, much harder solution. that way, there's like... a point to the failure, but it doesn't completely negate things. it feels natural to me for it to be a horror game, where the horror is in not knowing, not having total control over the state of the game. maybe, like lethal company & some other games have done recently, include proximity chat that can just falter on its own, creating a sense of discomfort and worry based on the assumption that something bad happened. i mean, that's how the original myth goes: on the way back, they talked, but at some point, Eurydice went silent, and in his worry, Orpheus turned to look.
there also should be like a purpose for the Orpheus character: realistically, I think a lot of players would probably realize "oh, i can't look at Eurydice, but she needs to do something, so I'll just look straight down or straight up & let her do that." that's both lame & boring. so, maybe they have their own puzzles to solve, their own things to do. maybe they're not even playing the same game: maybe Orpheus is doing puzzles but Eurydice has to play a shooter, maybe Eurydice is doing platforming but Orpheus has to play a rhythm game, maybe Orpheus has to work with RPG rules but Eurydice gets free movement. definitely feels like there should be some asymmetry to the gameplay.
maybe there shouldn't be any voice chat. maybe there's story that the characters talk through, and there's things that the players can make the characters call out, but, taking a page out of journey's book, maybe it pairs up 2 players totally randomly, 2 players that may have never met before; that way there's stakes to being sure to play the game right, that way the state of the failure condition completely changes, where it stops being a failure to progress in the game & starts being a cessation of connection. i think you could get really psychological with that. you start playing the game, get paired up with someone you don't know, and continue through until one of you makes the fatal mistake of looking at each other, at which point the connection breaks and you have to live with the loss of this person you've gotten to know, gotten used to, and have to start over with someone new; your progress doesn't reset, but you - the player - are directly affected by the loss. much like the story itself. i mean, orpheus doesn't just die after losing eurydice, he doesn't lose his progress, but he does lose a connection that he may never get back.
fuck, i wanna play this now.
Here's a useless thought my head just supplied me with that I absolutely can't use.
Co-op game where if one player sees another, they die.
Both die? Just the one who does the seeing? Just the one who is seen? All players or just one crucial character? Do reflections count?
"Don't turn around. I'm right behind you. I'm going to put the mcguffin down behind you and go around the corner, I'll tell you when it's safe to turn around; let me know when you're looking away again."

ㅤ"Uh-huh." Michael quipped in reply, the smile pulling lightly on the corner of his lips. It was endearing when Angel rambled about himself and the things he liked about who he was. It was a good difference from the usual self-loathing Michael could see when Angel let down some of those guards. He liked the happier, lighter versions of Angel that he could coax out of him. The one that got excited when Michael handed him a new outfit to try on, to brighten his personality and all aspects of himself. He liked certain colors on Angel, bright blue's being one of them.
ㅤHe can't tell if Angel's favorite color is pink or purple, or perhaps both. Someone can love more than one color after all. Michael tended to buy clothes that were pastel in color, seeing as the bright ones went well with the shade of his fur.
ㅤThe soap was started to get worked lower, down along the length of Angel's top arms and the fur there. There are those in Heaven who were more animal looking than humanoid. He does remember seeing another arachnid in Heaven, wandering the streets. She was a lot brighter in color to Angel, but like him she had fur everywhere. It's rare, but not unheard of. Sir Pentious, when he arrived in Heaven, retained his snake form.
ㅤMichael was far more used to tending to feathers than fur though, and he was trying to be as careful as possible to not knot Angel's fur while soaping him up.
ㅤWhen he reached the lower parts he finally crouched in front of the other, sliding his hands along Angel's hips to try and get every inch of the other he could reasonably reach. He would have to get him to sit on the floor of the tub again in order to do his back, that way he was still in the water.
ㅤ"I should get you some special pajamas, I've bought you so many outing clothes but never pajamas."
"Can y' blame me?" Rhetorical answered with a rhetorical-- and as Michael's fingers stroked through his hair, it raised his hopes of it being seen as more genuine, and not tossed aside as just a case of Angel being Angel. He had insisted he meant it, after all-- no point in not being a little more blunt with things, in hope that Michael'll actually get the message.
At Michael's prompting, Angel reluctantly pulled himself from the archangel's leg-- he'd been comfortable, guided into a relaxing lull by the other's hands against his hair. Added to-- seeing Michael from that angle, not just looking down at him? It was-- interesting, and he'd force his mind to leave it at that. He'd put Michael through enough today. Perching on the lip of the tub, he leaned forward to keep the water and suds from dripping on the floor, and once again, make things as easy as possible for Michael.
He inhaled slow as he felt hands around his neck, fingertips twitching-- keeping his vision locked on Michael, caging his thoughts, keeping them from veering to other, less pleasant times he'd had palms wrapped around it. Tension didn't last-- washing away just like the suds down the drain as Michael moved on to his shoulders.
"I do." Angel insisted, eyes falling closed with a soft sigh. "I ain't puttin' myself through tha' pain a' goin' out not lookin' hot. Fuckers are vicious, they'll come atcha' like vultures." In Angel's eyes-- keeping the public at bay when it came to his appearance, that was doing it for himself.
"But, even if they did decide ta' play nice? Nuh-uh. I ain't got much, but I am hot, n' I ain't 'bout ta' give that up." Was it shallow? Maybe. But he at least liked to be able to look in the mirror, discounting everything about himself except for how he looked, and not cringe.
